Gerard is passionate about helping midwives start strong. He offers discounted services designed for those moving from study into self-employment, making the transition feel less overwhelming.

With over 30 years of governance experience across a range of community groups — especially in mental health and whānau support — Gerard brings deep understanding and empathy to his work. His academic background includes degrees in commerce and arts, along with postgraduate study in community and social work.

Being married to a midwife for more than 20 years, Gerard also has firsthand insight into the realities of midwifery — the joys, the pressures, and the financial complexity.

Our Dunedin-based firm is dedicated to supporting Community-based Midwives across Aotearoa. With a proven history of assisting over 300 midwives (starting with his own partner), Gerard provides expert guidance that helps you feel confident and supported in managing your pūtea.
